Medals and Trophies
We are so blessed to have produced wines that have taken home so many awards at the many exciting wine shows throughout Australia. While most of our medals and trophies proudly decorate our cellar door, we do have a few that we are especially proud of:
- Our signature white, the Gewurztraminer, has done well over the years, collecting many gold medals. It took home the Best Dry White Other Varieties trophy at the 2017 National Wine Show of Australia. In 2014, it also nabbed the Best Single Varietal White at the Royal Melbourne Wine Show.
- The Reserve Shiraz is another wine we keep close to our hearts. Our personal favourite of its victories can only be when the 2003 vintage took out Queensland’s first ever gold medal at the Sydney Royal Wine Show, ranking as the top scoring red of the show.
James Halliday Top 100 Wines of 2024
Our 2023 Albariño made it into the 2024 James Halliday Top 100 Australian Wines in the category “Best Australian White Wines Over $40”. Many of our wine club members were lucky enough to receive the wine in their pack the year we received this honour!
Halliday Wine Companion Top 100 Wines 2024: Best white wines over $40
Prince William and Princess Kate
In April 2014, our Reserve Shiraz was served to the royal couple during their visit to Brisbane as part of their official tour of Australia and New Zealand.
G20
Our wine was selected to be served to officials, including the then President of the USA, Barrack Obama, at the 2014 Brisbane G20 meeting.
Five-star winery
Our winery often ranks as 5 stars in the James Halliday Wine Companion. Our first Amphora range wine we ever produced, the 2020 Nero d’Avola received GOLD (95 Points). The next Amphora wine, the Shiraz, received the same result.
